It is a remarkable and predictable phenomenon that whatever one is going through, the world marches on, completely and blissfully unaware and unconcerned about the trials and tribulations of one man.
Sympathy vs. Empathy

Sympathy vs. empathy. These are very similar and often confused emotions. I would like to think that I am attuned to being sympathetic to what friends, loved ones and even strangers are going through. In truth, I suspect that sometimes I am more successful at this than others. But empathy is a very different animal. When you have actually walked in the shoes of another, it isn’t difficult to imagine their plight at all.
Am I Really Going to Do This?

Shaken, Not Stirred. That’s a pretty strange blog name for someone who barely drinks, and has never even had a martini. Especially since as I write this I am only toying with the idea of making this into a blog. I’ve never considered writing a blog before. I am a very private person, and I have never felt like I really had anything to say that would be very compelling to read. Yet here I am, toying with the idea.
